WHY YINKA?

I’m running for Secretary of State to protect the right to vote for Missouri families, to ensure that your voice will be heard by your elected officials through ballot measures, as well as securing our elections. My entire professional career, from serving in the military to practicing law to my work with nonprofits, I have always sought to be a problem-solver and someone who continually moves further upstream to get things done.

SUPPORT OUR CAUSE

Yinka's story is an inspiring American dream come true. Yinka immigrated from Lagos, Nigeria to the U.S. at the age of seven; became a U.S. citizen; earned an appointment to and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point; and served as a combat arms U.S. Army officer in tank units in two back-to-back overseas deployments to Kuwait--the second deployment in response to 9/11. Washington University Law School brought Yinka to Missouri. He worked in private practice at a global law firm, followed by service as a state prosecutor before serving as a senior VP at United Way. He then led as the second executive director of the nonprofit founded by the Ferguson Commission, Forward Through Ferguson.
